Parochial School (SRAPS) received
the permission to operate the Senior
High School (SHS) Program.SHS
covers last two years of the K to 12
Program of the Philippines manda-
ted by Republic Act 10533, otherwi-
se known as “Basic Education Act
of 2013.” K to 12 education reform
is the dauntless move made by the
government in the history of the
Philippine educational system. This
includes Grades 11 and 12.
It requires audacity and firmness of
reforming the Philippine educatio-
nal system amidst the challenges in
more than 70 years. Prof. Leonor M.
Briones, Secretary of Department of
Education, emphasized, “We want
quality education to be liberating
from intellectual, social and even
material poverty.”
For this, SRAPS accepted the chal-
lenge to open its Senior High School
Curriculum this School Year 2018-
2019. In connection with this, last
December 12 and 19,2017, Ms.Jona-
deth Venzon, Mr.Mark Evan Noche,
the loyal teachers of SRAPS and Sr.
Maria Victoria N. Perido, POIC had
a campaign in two public schools
within the Municipality of Calaca to
invite students to enroll.
